Police in Connecticut arrested a 19-year-old man who injured an employee at Cumberland Farms while stealing a David Hasselhoff sign.
The convenience store chain's ads feature the former "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider" star and the signs have become pretty popular among thieves. More than 500 cutouts were stolen across the country last summer.
This particular story made headlines in August, when things got violent. The Cumberland Farms employee saw a man get out of a car, cut two "David Hasselhoff" advertisement signs off of a light pole and put the signs in the back. The employee approached the car to try and get the signs back, but the driver sped away and he was dragged. He spun around and flipped backward, eventually landing on his head. He is still recovering from his injuries.
The teen eventually turned himself in.
