In sports, and even in life, everyone has a rival. The Broncos have the Raiders, the Avalanche have the Red Wings, and in my world, being a die hard fan of my beloved San Francisco Giants, they have the Los Angeles Dodgers. What Matt Kemp, outfielder for the Dodgers, did for this fan, IN San Francisco no less, made me put the rivalry cap away. A 19 year old boy, terminally ill with cancer, received a very random act of incredible kindness from Kemp, who was told by his 3rd base coach that Kemp was his favorite player, after a game against the Giants. Under normal circumstances, I'd usually post something nasty about the Dodgers....this time, it is with great pleasure that I post something good about them and their team. Nice work Matt, even as a Dodger you have my complete respect.
